SALTY CHEEKS FOUNDER
Multi-craft Paddler. Ocean lover. Woman.
Mandy is active in the Sydney surfski community, participating regularly in races and events around Australia and the world. She is a surfski coach and regularly helps others discover their own love of paddling.
She started paddling dragon boats in 2006 around Australia and South East Asia, representing Australia at the World Championships in 2007. As an ocean lover, she quickly included outrigger, SUP and surfski paddling into the mix.
Her accolades include winning the coveted Dragons Run OC1 race in Hong Kong, placing first with her team at the 41km Pailolo Challenge in Hawaii, and completing Olamau - the world’s most gruelling outrigger canoe race of 163kms over three days.
Having undergone a full hip replacement in 2019, she knows full well how debilitating discomfort can be. That motivated her to create Salty Cheeks so women who love paddling around the world can do what they love in comfort.

The material used to create your Salty Cheeks is made from Ocean Recovered Plastics. So you can feel good while looking fabulous. We even package your Salty Cheeks in a reusable wash bag to reduce plastic waste and help protect your Salty's in the washing machine.
